The building of steel structured parks often involves thousands of parts, a lot of people, tons of heavy machinery and complex coordination of all it all. It’s a huge challenge, and to achieve success diverse experience and expertise is required. At Aerial Attractions, we’re one of the industry’s most experienced complex steel structure builders and more than ten of the tall climbing towers standing in North America today were put up by our IRATA rope access team. That means we’ve seen it all over the past years, and there’s no park construction or modification challenge we can’t overcome.

installation process
When it comes to steel frame towers, the process starts with site selection to meet the customer’s broadcast needs. The client then clear and level the site to make space for the foundation and the sub-assembly work. Then, all tower parts are delivered to the site, and we take the time to perform a detailed inventory to account for everything. After that, we begin sub-assembly, material staging, and preparing the parts.
The main poles are erected and lifted into position by a crane. Once the tower reaches its final height, we install all climbing elements, lights, and grounding. At last, we do a final inspection to ensure everything is installed according to project specifications and requirements.
Depending on the size of the Park the installation can take from two to four weeks

2. inspection
At Aerial Attractions, we recognize our costumers’. Parks are often their single largest investment. We take pride in helping customers protect their investments with comprehensive inspection reports. Our team has decades of experience carefully assessing every aspect of ropes courses and tower structures, as well as reporting any observed issues in detail. We are also pleased to lend our expertise in helping customers understand our inspection findings.
Yearly inspections can make all the difference in finding small issues before they become larger, more-expensive problems
Aerial Attractions focuses on safety in all our field operations, and inspections are no different. We assess past inspection reports and park drawings to create a safe, rigorous inspection plan. We also take special care to create an RF safety plan to ensure we know exactly where the park might have the strongest wear exposure levels. We coordinate inspections carefully with the client to minimize downtime or other negative impact.
